Dang, I'm so emotional right now. Someone IRL gets me. With my new rockstar GI doctor, she had ordered two imaging to be done. I waited what I thought was an appropriate amount to schedule with Imaging, and then have done several follow ups. But I realized I was being "too much" and apologized to their front desk. I said I was scared for the reason for the one imaging, and get in my head and try to do *something* to move it along. But I would do my best to be more zen to not push them away. But instead of chiding me, they said: Oh no, no, you are all good! We totally get it and want to make sure we are all on the same page! Please don't ever hesitate to reach out. Have a great day! I'm not crying, those are water droplets from the sky. 🥹 #Doctors #Kindness

Three good things: -> After watching the film We Are Pat yesterday on Kanopy (thank you local library!), I've arrived at further levels of understanding the breadth of my agenderness. It's more profound than even I expected, and I'd been building up to certain aspects for decades more subconsciously than I realized. This is a very good thing! 😊 -> I thought we were losing one direction of bus service by my home with an upcoming service change. Very gratefully, that is not the case; the service change sign was just poorly written. -> On the bus today, the bus driver was playing music, as they do. What should fully play at great volume throughout the cabin but Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Relax. Three good things: -> I am trying my best to not be as intense a person, especially here in the Fediverse. Don't want to drive people away. Not easy, but I *am* trying. -> Recently gave my kitty Belle her regular pedicure. She almost enjoys them, even though she's upside down in the V of my lap. -> I meet with my new GP/PCP this week, which I'm very hopeful will be a solid relationship. Also meeting with a new GI surgeon who will maintain my gastric stimulator for my gastroparesis. @3goodthings@fedigroups.social #3GoodThings

Now that I'm using Si units instead of imperial units, I wanted to do the right thing for non-whole numbers, especially for distance in kilometers. I am guessing decimals are used to be more multi language-friendly, but wanted to confirm fractions are an imperial unit convention. #SiUnits #Metric

Three good things: -> Worked out complicated interconnections between optometry, ophthalmology, and dry eye care related to my Sjogren's disease and general eye care. Lots of confusion all around on this, so I'm glad to have a good roadmap now. -> I finished watching the very cool iTV/britbox series Code of Silence featuring a Deaf actor solving a crime. Hope it continues for additional seasons! -> The new commercial construction outside my apartment is now nearly done for the exteriors. I was afraid, based on how slow they were working on one building, that the development was going to be abandoned before it'd get occupied. @3goodthings@fedigroups.social #3GoodThings

This is Acacia (pronounced A-ka-sha). She was a good kitty, but was only in my life for a few months. She had a fascination that was dangerous to her and potentially to our home: she loved to chew on wires of all sorts, including speaker wires and electrical cords. I tried everything I could think of: hiding them, putting safe bitters on them, even wrapping them in aluminum foil. On the last day, when I walked along the road, bringing her back to the shelter in her carrier, it nearly broke my heart. She had the biggest golden eyes she'd ever offered, and made the gentlest meows. But I knew my place wasn't safe for her. I hope she found a good home. #ThrowbackThursday #CatsOfFediverse #CatsOfMastodon

Three good things: -> Very happy to be on my new instance, and for the kindness of so many people in taking a look at my new instance intro. It was nice to be able to clearly state my core values and principles. -> Had a nice text chat with my auntie in Arizona. She and my sister are the only family I am really in contact with, and they both understand me with kindness. -> It's much cooler here: 33C/91F, and will stay at similar temperatures through Saturday before ramping back up for a bit. @3goodthings@fedigroups.social #3GoodThings
