#auspol A monoculture is just such a repellent thing to say that you want in a country, and I think you have to be remarkably stupid, remarkably bigoted – or both – to think it is a good idea. What's the logical extension of a monoculture? Forget about whether this is about skin colour, accents or languages. Sorry, only one type of restaurant allowed, ever. No, you can't have nut milk because you're lactose intolerant, you can have an espresso or you can have real cow's milk and shit your pants like the inventors of the monoculture. No, different haircuts are not allowed, men get one specific type of haircut, women another and if you go bald you better wear a fucking wig because bald people don't fit into the monoculture. Everyone better learn cursive again because we'll have none of that weirdo pansy fucking touch typing bullshit. And the nuclear family will go outright critical. Not straight? Better be willing to marry someone of the opposite sex and drop out a couple of babies in a traditional gender role because anything else is out of place and totally inappropriate. Monocultures are a figment of the imagination, a fascist fucking Aryan dream, and anyone who dares speak of monocultures in anything other than a derisive tone needs to be kicked to the curb and laughed out of public life. Monocultures don't look real as Cardassians or Romulans in Star Trek, let alone in real life. Fuck this idiocy.
