@JEmphatically@mstdn.ca ahhhh USA version of democracy. Because voting in Australia is mandatory this type of thing always fails when it hits our high court and our constitution. Everyone has to have an opportunity to vote. Any government that tries to introduce a policy that hinders anyone from achieving that fails no matter what excuse the ‘trying fascism on’ government tries to give.

@ApaulD@aus.social because at the time they had to get gps on board and honestly back then dentistry wasn’t considered that important to people’s health. They have been trying to make themselves relevant since.

@ApaulD@aus.social when Medicare was created the dentistry industry argued that they shouldn’t be part of it. Since then they have tried to justify their expensive existence. They also get #gst exemption under Howard.
So now #dentists have to keep justifying how important they are, and they are, but their previous greed kind of doesn’t help them.
