That headline makes it seem like a variation of what the callow traitors in DOGE said. They couldn't define what DEI was. They were afraid to say what they were actually acting on - anything that in any way mentioned or funded something studying some marginalized group. They would not outright say that the only group they considered meritorious was abled white men (and in this case, drivers of cars). They warped the meaning Black folks had given "woke" into some rallying cry for fragile white supremacists. One of the biggest bait and switches that #Patriarchy performs is convincing women that trauma bonds are love. Love doesn't hurt you. Love doesn't abuse you. Love doesn't sexually assault you or coerce you. Love doesn't treat you with disdain or contempt or outright hatred. Love doesn't take advantage of you. You don't love your abuser. You have a trauma bond. The patriarchy is nothing but bold faced lies that they have to brainwash children with from the time they're born in order to be believed as truth. #Feminism

It’s Disability Pride Month and I’m mourning one of our elders…. Alice Wong. Every year on July 1st she would talk about disabled rage. She would remind us that it’s ok to be angry at the eugenicist, capitalist, patriarchal system we’re trapped in. She would encourage us to embrace our disabilities AND our anger. She would give us permission to be our true selves… to refuse to hide for the comfort of others. She passed away last November but left an indelible mark on our community. I want to honour her this month by continuing the tradition she started and inviting all my disabled peers to be proud, unapologetically themselves and angry if that’s what they feel. Don’t hide. Don’t smile and say “I’m fine” when you’re in pain. Don’t settle for being treated as “less than”. All of this has happened on the shadow docket. So the Roberts Court has ok’d election cancellation without merits briefing, oral argument, etc. This would be extraordinary and pernicious enough. But because Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented and pointed out how exceptional and dangerous the Court’s order is, Alito, joined by Gorsuch and Thomas, wrote an opinion basically calling her uppity. 4/
