Mein beliebtestes Bild auf Pixelfed im September. Viele Posten wohl das gleiche Bild auf Mastodon und Pixelfed parallel…dann hat man es aber leider auch zwei mal im Feed mit unterschiedlichen Namen (wenn man Pixelfed nutzt). Wie macht ihr das mit den Bildern? Neuntöter habe ich bisher in diesem Jahr kaum gesehen. Um so mehr habe ich mich gefreut, gleich eine Familie mit zwei Jungvögeln (von denen habe ich keine Bilder) zu sehen! Hier zuerst das Männchen und dann zweilmal die Dame. Juli 2026 bei Warmbronn. Red-backed shrikes I have rarely seen these year. So I was delighted to see a family with two young ones ( I don't have pictures of them)! Rainbow lorikeets are native to Australia and are highly social parrots, often travelling in noisy flocks. Up close, their lovely intricate feather texture is just as impressive as their vivid colours, as you can see from this one I snapped in 2017. Seit diesem Jahr wächst ein Baum in einem meiner Blumenkästen. Der Trieb ist inzwischen ca. 80 cm hoch. Jedoch bin ich mir nicht sicher, um welche Art es sich handelt. 🗨️🇬🇧 🦋 Pale tussock 🇭🇺 ℹ️ The Pale tussock (Calliteara pudibunda) is nocturnal and has a wingspan of up to 67 mm. The caterpillar grows to a length of up to 5 cm, though some females can grow even larger. It feeds on rowan, sea buckthorn and small-leaved linden, among other plants. This moth is attracted to artificial light. 🗨️🇩🇪 🦋 Buchen-Streckfuß 🇭🇺 ℹ️ Der nachtaktive Buchen-Streckfuß (Calliteara pudibunda) bekommt eine Spannweite von bis zu 67 cm. Die Raupe wird bis zu 5cm lang, wobei manche Weibchen auch größer werden. Er ernährt sich u.a. von Vogelbeeren, Sanddorn und Winterlinden. Der Zimmermann des Waldes ist am Werk! Buntspecht (Dendrocopos major), Weibchen – kein roter Nackenfleck, aber der leuchtend rote Bürzel verrät sie sofort! Mit bis zu 20 Schlägen pro Sekunde hämmert sie in die Rinde.
