Hello Fedi! My employer went through my #PostCovid time with me. Now that I'm back to work full time, they suddenly decided to let me go. 🤷‍♀️ I'm a #pentester with 5 years of experience in the field, before that 3 years of software dev in the #infosec field as well. Got a Bsc. in Computer Sience with emphasis on infosec and networke systems. In my #homelab I'm selfhosting on #proxmox and #k8s. I've been daily driving #linux for the past 20 years, first #gentoo, then #fedora. I'm pretty good with it, but no certs. I'm looking to continue in #offensivesecurity, but would be happy to pivot into infra/network or any other adventure given it's interessting or a good cause. Happy to invest in my skillset. Hybrid in north-eastern #Switzerland fully remote anywhere else. #getfedihired #fedihired

Kubernetes system is a vital part of many multi-tenant projects. As services that use it grow in scale and their policies become more complex, secure authorisation becomes a crucial issue. The new paper by Francesco Pizzato, Daniele Bringhenti, and Fulvio Valenza presents a conceptual analysis and an experimental evaluation of five different access management tools used with the platform. Read “A Comparative Study of Authorisation Mechanisms in Kubernetes-Based Service Platforms” online at https://www.acigjournal.com/A-Comparative-Study-of-Authorisation-Mechanisms-in-Kubernetes-Based-Service-Platforms,220492,0,2.html 🌐 Applied Cybersecurity & Internet Governance (#ACIG) is published by #NASK – National Research Institute #kubernetes #k8s #authorisation #accessControl

🪤 Kubernetes is Officially Doomed (And Linus Torvalds Warned Us) 「 When a 40-person startup adopts K8s, they aren't achieving infinite scalability. They are just paying a prestige tax. When monitoring architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud today, the metrics are undeniable: teams are burning through massive EKS and GKE budgets just to keep the control plane running, often dedicating entire engineering squads just to manage the orchestrator. 」 https://freedium-mirror.cfd/https://medium.com/the-tech-notes/kubernetes-is-officially-doomed-and-linus-torvalds-warned-us-6f0532202ee8 #k8s

Tonight's activities included, Resolving an issue with corrupt keys files on #cachyos stopping updates. Resolving an issue with #termix which was timing out on my #k8s and fixing ghis also fixed an issue with the Android app I got #patchmon installed and rolled out security and other patches Tomorrow I need to setup my old #imac (intel) as a #devops server (probably ubuntu 2404 desktop) and install #argocd and see if i can get that to work with my k8s setup.. Oh, and we walked the dog 6km in the morning... Got next week off.. so got some housekeeping to do.. #daveknowstech #selfhosted

Finally moved #mailu from docker-compose to #k8s That has been bothering me for a long time, but not enough to actually do it.

Help. Not sure if I'm just being dumb. I have a K8S service. From one pod, I can connect to it just fine, from another, I cannot. But from the pod that I cannot connect to it from, I am able to connect directly to the pods behind the service. Any ideas why this would happen? #k8s

Three of my mini-PC power supplies have died over the last 2–3 months. That’s half my #K8S cluster unavailable right now. 😓 All three nodes are old Optiplex 3010s, and their #QuickSync support isn’t great anyway. Right now #Plex / #Jellyfin is pinned to a single node with the “newest” CPU for transcoding. Debating whether to replace the PSUs or just upgrade the dead nodes to newer mini-PCs. #homelab #kubernetes #k8s

In March 2026, Kubernetes will retire Ingress NGINX, a piece of critical infrastructure for about half of cloud native environments... Existing deployments will continue to work, so unless you proactively check, you may not know you are affected until you are compromised: https://kubernetes.io/blog/2026/01/29/ingress-nginx-statement/ #security #infosec #k8s
