Il Fatto Quotidiano: Flotilla, tornano in Italia altri sei attivisti: “Rimasti al freddo tutta la notte. Non ci aspettavamo una violenza di questo tipo”
Altri sei attivisti, cinque italiani e un americano residente in Italia, della Global Sumud Flotilla per Gaza, rilasciati in settimana dalle autorità israeliane, sono rientrati poco dopo le 14 all’aeroporto di Roma Fiumicino da Istanbul. “Con noi sono stati più mansueti e non hanno usato violenza. Quando siamo arrivati abbiamo trovato pane e acqua, ma non le coperte e siamo rimasti al freddo tutta la notte“, racconta Simona, di Bari.
Mentre altri parlano di una “violenza” che “non ci aspettavamo”.
Tutti i partecipanti alla missione umanitaria, sia italiani sia di altri Paesi, sono stati trasferiti a Istanbul giovedì con tre voli charter della Turkish partiti nel pomeriggio da Eilat. I primi ad essere rimpatriati, via Atene, sono stati giovedì mattina l’inviato del Fatto, Alessandro Mantovani, e il deputato del Movimento 5 Stelle, Dario Carotenuto.
Non tutti, però, hanno potuto far rientro a casa subito perché non in condizioni di proseguire il viaggio con il conseguente ricovero in varie strutture ospedaliere di Istanbul (circa una cinquantina di varie nazionalità, tra cui anche un italiano, il trentino Ruggero Zeni, 69 anni, residente a Malaga, ndr). Così come già accaduto in occasione dei primi arrivi, anche oggi gli attivisti sono stati accolti in aeroporto da parenti e amici.

Six other activists, five Italian and one American resident in Italy, from the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza, released this week by Israeli authorities, returned shortly after 2:00 PM to Rome Fiumicino Airport from Istanbul. “They were more passive with us and didn’t use violence. When we arrived, we found bread and water, but not blankets and we were cold all night,” says Simona, from Bari.
While others speak of a “violence” that “we didn’t expect.”
All participants in the humanitarian mission, Italian and from other countries, were transferred to Istanbul on Thursday with three charter flights departing in the afternoon from Eilat. The first to be repatriated, via Athens, were Thursday morning The Fact’s correspondent, Alessandro Mantovani, and the 5-Star Movement MP, Dario Carotenuto.
However, not all were able to return home immediately because not in conditions to continue the journey with the subsequent hospitalization in various hospitals in Istanbul (about fifty of various nationalities, including an Italian, Ruggero Zeni, 69, from Trentino, resident in Malaga). As had already happened with the first arrivals, today the activists were also greeted at the airport by relatives and friends.

AGI - Sei persone sono rimaste uccise in un attacco israeliano sul sud del Libano, tra cui due soccorritori e un bambino. Lo ha riferito il ministero della salute libanese. Nella notte tra giovedì e venerdì, un altro raid aereo israeliano ha colpito la città di Hanaouay, vicino a Tiro, uccidendo quattro soccorritori affiliati a Hezbollah, secondo quanto riportato dal ministero.

C’è voluto il video di Ben Gvir per portare l’Italia a chiedere, finalmente, una reazione in Ue nei confronti di Israele. Una reazione, però, molto timida e che contraddice il veto posto dal governo italiano sulla sospensione dell’accordo tra Ue e Israele.
È stato il vicepresidente del Consiglio e ministro degli Esteri, Antonio Tajani, ad annunciare che il governo italiano ha chiesto all’Alto rappresentante Ue, Kaja Kallas, di adottare delle sanzioni contro il ministro per la Sicurezza di Tel Aviv, dopo il video in cui irride e umilia gli attivisti della Flotilla.

In un post su X, il ministro degli Esteri spiega di aver chiesto a nome del governo “all’Alto Rappresentante Kaja Kallas di includere nella prossima discussione dei ministri degli Esteri Ue l’adozione di sanzioni contro il ministro per la sicurezza nazionale israeliano Ben-Gvir per gli inaccettabili atti compiuti contro la Flotilla, prelevando gli attivisti in acque internazionali e sottoponendoli a vessazioni e umiliazioni, violando i più elementari diritti umani”.
Ma come sottolinea il leader del Movimento 5 Stelle, Giuseppe Conte, il problema è che solo adesso “c’è stata un’indignazione, anche da parte dei nostri esponenti di governo e anche a livello internazionale, ma cosa è cambiato rispetto alla precedente spedizione di Flotilla dell’ottobre scorso? E soprattutto mi chiedo: cosa è cambiato rispetto addirittura a 70mila palestinesi uccisi in un genocidio, 20mila bambini uccisi?”. La condotta del governo israeliano, secondo Conte, è la stessa da tempo e siamo di fronte a una “ipocrisia inaccettabile”.
Secondo il leader M5s “adesso servono azioni concrete, le chiacchiere stanno a zero, quindi sanzioni economiche e finanziarie a Netanyahu, senza giocare al giochino del buono e del cattivo tra lui e Ben Gvir”. Oltre a “strappare l’accordo di cooperazione militare Italia-Israele e l’accordo di associazione Ue-Israele, subito”.

Due anni di bombardamenti a tappeto sulla Striscia di Gaza hanno lasciato gravi lesioni permanenti su 43mila palestinesi. È la stima diffusa dall’Organizzazione mondiale della sanità. Oltre 5mila persone hanno subito amputazioni, più di 2mila hanno avuto lesioni al midollo spinale con la conseguente perdita di importanti funzioni motorie. Più di 3.400 vivono le conseguenze di ustioni gravi e oltre 1.300 hanno riportato lesioni cerebrali traumatiche. Inoltre, un ferito su quattro ha meno di 18 anni.
Una fotografia drammatica, se si pensa che il sistema sanitario è stato completamente distrutto e che i medici e le organizzazioni umanitarie lavorano in una costante scarsità di farmaci e materiale medico a causa delle restrizioni imposte dal governo israeliano. Parlando a Madrid insieme al premier spagnolo Pedro Sanchez, il direttore generale dell’Oms, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreysus ha spiegato che il flusso degli aiuti resta ampliamente insufficiente, in quanto “dovrebbero attraversare il confine circa 600 camion” al giorno “ma questo non sta accadendo”, ha rilevato. Secondo il direttore dell’Oms, si osservano progressi “probabilmente nelle evacuazioni mediche” dalla Striscia, mentre persistono gravi difficoltà nella fornitura di medicinali e forniture sanitarie. “L’invio di farmaci non sta arrivando come dovrebbe”, ha rilevato. Ha inoltre segnalato che “quando aumenta il numero di camion ” diretti a Gaza “alcuni trasportano materiali e prodotti destinati alla vendita e i gazawi non possono permetterseli“. Per questo, ha aggiunto, è necessario rafforzare “in modo specifico” l’invio di aiuti umanitari.
L’Oms sta dando priorità alla ricostruzione delle infrastrutture sanitarie nella Striscia, poiché “gli ospedali sono scomparsi”, ha osservato, riferendosi al livello di distruzione provocato dalla guerra. “Dobbiamo continuare a mobilitarci, non possiamo dimenticare i prigionieri palestinesi”, è l’appello dell’attivista, nel ringraziare tutti coloro che si sono attivati, “il team legale Adalah, la mia famiglia, mia moglie e i bambini, i miei colleghi del movimento, le 180 persone coraggiose” membri della Global Flotilla. “Ho ascoltato la vostra voce“, durante la permanenza in carcere, “mi ha dato la forza, ma non abbiamo ancora finito il lavoro. Dobbiamo andare avanti, dobbiamo continuare a mobilitarci fino a che Palestina sarà libera”, è l’esortazione di Saif Abukeshek, nel ricordare “la gente in mare che sta facendo la sua parte”, in relazione alle altre imbarcazioni della spedizione umanitaria, che puntano a raggiungere Gaza. L’attivista fa appello a “sollevarsi in ogni angolo del mondo” “in terra e per mare per una Palestina libera“.

Le prime testimonianze degli attivisti fermati e raccolte dalla Global Sumud Flottila denunciano “una degradazione sistematica contro partecipanti civili”. Le voci sono state raccolte dopo il rilascio di 179 partecipanti alle autorità greche e indicano “un ricorso alla violenza fisica e agli abusi, inclusi abusi sessuali, come strumenti di intimidazione e controllo“.
In particolare, si legge nel comunicato, “i partecipanti hanno documentato un regime di procedure di perquisizione invasive e umilianti, insieme a violenze fisiche e sessuali mirate dirette sia contro uomini sia contro donne. È emerso che almeno quattro partecipanti hanno subito violenza sessuale. Due persone hanno riferito di essere state penetrate analmente con un dito. Mentre continua la detenzione illegale dei due leader Saif Abukeshek e Thiago Ávila nella prigione di Shikma, in Israele, la Global Sumud Flotilla cerca di fare luce sulle condizioni in cui sono stati trattati i partecipanti fermati nei giorni scorsi. Secondo le testimonianze, quanto l’esercito “riteneva che la propria autorità fosse stata messa in discussione, ricorreva a violenza fisica e sessuale per reprimere i detenuti”. In generale, hanno raccontato di “un regime di privazione ambientale deliberata usato per spezzare la resistenza dei partecipanti”. Come già raccontato in questi giorni, sono state diverse le tattiche usate: “segnalazioni di aree esterne ai container dove erano trattenuti i partecipanti deliberatemente allagate durante la notte”; “rimozione mirata di vestiti pesanti, scarpe e calze, insieme alla mancanza di cibo, acqua e coperte adeguate”; “negligenza medica”.

While the illegal detention of leaders Saif Abukeshek and Thiago Ávila continues in the Shikma prison, in Israel, the Global Sumud Flotilla seeks to shed light on the conditions in which the detained participants were treated in recent days.
