Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s fifteen-point plan for Gaza, stating that Israeli soldiers will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is completely disarmed. According to a report by the Reuters news agency, Netanyahu said yesterday at a cabinet meeting that some of the American proposals are unacceptable and Israel will stand firm against any opposing positions. He added that until Hamas surrenders all its weapons, from heavy artillery to light arms, Israeli soldiers will not withdraw from Gaza. Meanwhile, a member of the Hamas movement has stated they are prepared to responsibly embrace and implement a peace board’s plan. Trump's plan for Gaza includes disarming the Hamas movement, the withdrawal of Israel from Gaza, and several other points. Now it is going to be #Hamas and other armed groups interfering with the #UN's attempts to distribute the aid that is merely trickling in. Hamas, in agreement with the Palestinian factions, announced their approval of the proposal for the second phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, including the condition of disarmament. The Palestinian Football Association (PFA) filed formal complaints with FIFA, UEFA, and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) over Israeli military claims that 12 Palestinian football figures killed in Gaza, including a FIFA-accredited international assistant referee, were affiliated with Hamas or Islamic Jihad. The PFA rejected the allegations as unsupported and made only after the victims had been killed, adding that no verifiable evidence or legal process was presented. It called the accusations a violation of justice, human dignity, and the integrity of sport, and urged international football bodies to defend the presumption of innocence. The association also said it reserves the right to take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
