What I still don't understand, has this war with Iran been approved by congress? Because it looks like shit has been done. So any US president can bomb and wage war with any country? Just like a king? You fucks had a whole revolution/rebellion about this. I know, because you just celebrated it a month ago, but obviously doesn't matter. My outside view is, checks and balances are totally useless. Opposition is totally useless. President is king. #us #iran #iranwar

What's Trump up to, then -- are his threats of huge attacks empty? No. The US has half a million (give or take) of "dumb" bombs and associated glider kits. What this means is, going forward, each time Trump tries to conduct widespread strikes, their success rates will plummet and civilian casualties will soar. Why did the #IranWar begin? Trump felt happy after kidnapping Maduro from Venezuela and he felt like having another cheap and painless military victory, this time in Iran. Trump did not understand differences between Iran and Venezuela. Trump quickly lost the #IranWar, but the war continues because Trump is unwilling to admit to this big of a mistake. Falling oil prices help calm worries about inflation, and Wall Street rallies - S&P reaching towards all time highs. I don’t know about you…but I don’t think this rally is sustainable given the back-and-forth #IranWar strikes, the overall supply chain disruptions, greed-driven inflation (just look at fossil fuel profits) and the potential #AI bubble. If I had money to burn, I think I’d be shorting this market. Recent gains look like irrational exuberance to me. #Iran appears determined to make the whole world, the global economy, suffer for US-Israeli aggression. I don’t see that changing anytime soon, for all of Trump’s delusional late-night raving. I know corporate profits are soaring, driving investor optimism, I just don’t see that lasting.
