Ed Sheeran performs half a show to his few remaining fans
"Ed Sheeran performed at Lincoln Financial Field last night, only two and a half hours later than planned. He cut his show in half after his support acts dropped out in solidarity with Gaza. Apparently, something bad is happening over there.
Anyway, the concert was the most exciting experience since the bank left me on hold for 45 minutes,"

So, I've stayed out of the whole #Sheeran / #Macklemore situation because I honestly don't think I could have picked either of them out of a lineup.
But as it's escalated, and people are choosing sides, we need to talk about something it has illuminated so brightly it cannot be ignored.
#Zionism. And why we need to talk about it is because there is a difference between it and #Judaism, and people on many sides, for many political reasons, are trying to make the two synonymous in the zeitgeist.
I am antizionist. I am not anti-Jewish people or faith practices.
There is a clear, undeniable genocide happening in #Palestine. We can all see it. We have allowed Israel to cage a group of people and systematically murder them. All so #Israel can have their rivers, their oil, their beaches.
We cannot do much, we have very little power. But we have the truth. And ethics demand that we speak it. #FreePalestine from the river to the sea.

What happened between Ed Sheeran and Macklemore? The star speaks of Gaza from the stage: “Sorry…”
Ed Sheeran has stated that the situation in Gaza is “unjustifiable,” following a wave of criticism for not supporting pro-Palestinian statements made by rapper Macklemore, who opened his concerts.
“What is happening in Gaza is catastrophic, unjustifiable and disproportionate,” said the British singer, opening his show in Philadelphia without Macklemore, who was excluded from the ‘Loop Tour’ after shouting “Free Palestine” during a concert in New Jersey at the beginning of the month. “I had to make difficult decisions, I am making mistakes and I sincerely apologize.” Sheeran added, visibly moved.
Silence on the conflict and words for the West Bank
Sheeran, who until now had maintained an apolitical stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, broke his silence and denounced “hearts broken by the scale of the devastation and the loss of civilian lives, of children.”
“Furthermore, the systemic injustice we are witnessing in the West Bank cannot be ignored,” he added from the stage in Philadelphia, in the first concert after the controversy involving Macklemore.
Protests from fans and a call for a boycott of the tour
Sheeran was criticized for not opposing Macklemore’s dismissal after he shouted “Free Palestine” during a previous performance, coming under fire from pro-Palestinian supporters who launched calls to boycott him.
Several dozen protesters organized a peaceful demonstration outside Lincoln Financial Field before the show, waving Palestinian flags and chanting “Free Palestine.” Some fans attending the stadium admitted to hesitating to participate due to the controversy, but ultimately decided to be there and enjoy the music; others, however, changed their plans.
“We extend our call for a boycott of Ed Sheeran’s entire world tour, including upcoming dates in Latin America and the yet-to-be announced European stop,” said the Palestinian Campaign Boycott Academic and Cultural Institutions of Israel (Pacbi).

“Ed #Sheeran kicked #Macklemore off the #tour as soon as the #Zionist billionaire told him to, and will replace him with an opening act who promises never to say ‘Free Palestine’ on stage. Sheeran is essentially just a rich, soft-handed thug responsible for keeping any dissident ideas from reaching the ears of his audience, which is why he’s been allowed to become as famous as he has”

“The Home Office plans to proscribe the rap act known in terrorist circles as ‘Macklemore’. This follows disturbing footage of the keffiyeh-wearing savage rallying a crowd of 80,000 at an Ed Sheeran concert. Now I know what you’re all thinking: how the hell did Ed Sheeran get 80,000 fans?”
