🧵 So I got a new toy: a #Pentax 300mm/f4 lens and a 1.4x extender. That's 420mm in 35mm terms; and 600mm with the extender. That's as long a lens as you'd ever want to use handheld, and way longer than anything I've used before.

Hitzetag eingeschlossen und hydriert verbracht. Nebenbei konnte ich #postmarketos auf einen #oneplus6t installieren und ein kurzes Telefonat über dieses Handy (#linux!!!) geführt. wow!
Bisher habe ich noch kein gps auf den Karten bekommen (vielleicht weil indoor?) und die #camera native App macht nur unbrauchbare Fotos. Hat da jemand ggf. Mit Linux eine gute Camera App bereits verwendet? Afaik sind die iOS und android Apps ja vollgestopft mit zusätzlichen Funktionen um tolle Bilder zu schiessen. Gibt es da eine brauchbare Möglichkeit? Danke!

Remember that goodwill that was full of old typewriters? Well now it’s full of old cameras. Both video and photo, and also some old projectors to match (which I did not get photos of). Some of the typewriters are even still there!

Researching new #camera for Pots&Trowels. The criteria, light, good quality 50pHD with decent face detection autofocus (ruling out some older cams) & crucially audio in & out & a useable EVF as well as a screen. The various AI models failed miserably to help, old fashioned spec scouring will begin!
