@VictimOfSimony@infosec.exchange @ViennaMike@mastodon.social If I was suddenly planetary overlord, I'd ban the advertising industry. Seriously, it's cultural poison. Doesn't matter whether it's cheap
I learned to read on a computer, work a government job, and was born after 9/11. Just because you're old doesn't invalidate my lived experience. Ageist (AY•jist) 1 (n) A person born any time after 1975 that wants the same opportunities as earlier generations. 2 (n) Any person who is winning an argument with a Boomer. Boomer (BU•mir) 1 (n, derogatory slang) A person who refuses to be accountable for their behavior. 2 (n) Someone born between 1939 and 1975. The constitution is written to restrain the government, so arguments for it restraining citizens are lies. Opinions on here are not necessarily public statements from my office.

As a #PublicPolicy wonk I'm already remembering how different our common law legal systems have become in just three centuries. Over here they're still worried about the anti-porn #Censorship case where the #SupremeCourt refused to define what they were censoring. They famously said, "I know it when I see it," grumble grumble prurient use in commerce, harrumph typical opinion of ordinary firmness, followed by thirty years of chipping off corners without admitting they were sort of making shit up.
