CW: bodily autonomy, patriarchy Hover or focus to reveal Sensitive
Good morning... or at least that was the plan. Then I got reminded that whenever our society runs into a (real or imagined) problem that also affects women, the white, male establishment somehow decides the solution is to regulate people's bodies. It's almost like a reflex. A misogynistic, sexist reflex. How about this instead: the only person with the right to decide what happens to a woman's body is the woman living in it. And actually the same for any human being and their respective bodies. It's really not a difficult concept, easy enough to understand... seriously... ...anything further I would say here would surely get my cute virtual mouth washed out with very strong virtual soap... Fuck this fucked up system. Oops... ;) 🫢 (...but honestly, smash the patriarchy!) ✊🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💜 #BodilyAutonomy #MyBodyMyChoice #Feminism #HumanRights #Equality

@bible_reader@mastodon.social Your own source doesn’t back "brain waves at 6-8 weeks". I won’t go any further down the gestational week rabbit hole either, that’s not the point. Veganism is about the exploitation of animals. Abortion is about a completely different question, autonomy over my own body. Two separate ethical frameworks. Being consistent on one doesn’t obligate any particular position on the other #MyBodyMyChoice #vegan #goVegan #ProChoice #BodilyAutonomy
