But it's not a bad car, it runs and drives well and it's better than a lot of the alternatives. Low mileage overall, just put in an almost-new JDL transmission, new clutch, not a ton of rust. I wouldn't be selling it if I wasn't broke again and trying to switch to e-bikes. Boosts appreciated, forward to your friends 😊

Follow up article to Joel Feder getting pulled over when Flock flagged plates on his loaner Land Rover as stolen (they weren't) "On Wednesday, fellow auto journalist Tim Esterdahl, publisher of Pickup Truck + SUV Talk, was pulled over by two officers in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska while driving his 14-year-old kid in a $105,000 Range Rover Sport that JLR loaned him to review. The plates on it? Yep: New Jersey 34 08 DTM." "This time, the plates were not stolen. The Range Rover wasn’t stolen. My wife and I were not 'persons wanted.' The same story goes for Esterdahl, and who knows how many other people are getting caught up in the 200 million misreads a month by Flock’s cameras and the police making mistakes. The technology is moving so fast without guardrails in place and it’s amplifying human errors, humans aren’t catching the errors on the front or middle or back end of the loop, at least not in this case, and it could’ve led to someone getting hurt or even killed. So a Waymo representative called the cop but also LOCKED THE 15-YEAR OLD IN THE CAR SO THEY COULDN'T GET OUT. And lied to them claiming the vehicle was "experiencing mechanical issues." Bizzarro question but I have no experience here whatsoever. I'm looking at 2Din stereos to upgrade my car radio with, and there's some with android auto. That's just a smartphone processor running in there, right? Are there any units where you can replace the OS with something like LineageOS or PostmarketOS? I only want a gps and bluetooth/wifi for internet audio streaming. And I'm fine with tweaking things myself. #car #android #lineageos #freesoftware #modding #rooting
