Every fatal firmware error fix depends on one guy on an IRC channel voluntarily and supportively looking up magic fimware error codes and explaining the implications to me. Bus factor: 1
And for some vendors like Qualcomm there is simply nobody to ask questions to. The Linux ath10k/11k/12k driver maintainer stopped years ago and hasn't been replaced as far as I know.
Vendors should never have been allowed to stop providing public documentation for computers they are selling.

I accidentally came across this #MediaTek #MT7601U #WiFi driver for #NetBSD on GitHub: https://github.com/MakwanaVihas/gsoc_2k22 but it seems long abandoned. I wonder if someone knows how to use it. I actually have such a USB WiFi dodge, and since the #iwm driver works on and off for my Intel 8260 card on NetBSD I think I can give this a try maybe.

It's #backupfriday and I just collected a package with some 10 Gb network gear - it is a bit early as the installers only finished the cable trays in the building this week, and there is still some digging to be done until the building is fiber-connected, and after that my apartment has to be connected as well...
Unfortunately the access point I ordered is advertised as having at 10 Gb ethernet port, but on the box it says it only has 2.5 Gb, so I'll likely have to return it. If you have any recommendations for #wifi accesspoints that have #10 GbE, I'm all ears.

You're right, I don't.
But since one of the ISPs is advertising 5 Gb over the fiber and as I am upgrading (/able to upgrade) for the first time in 10-15 years, why not try how the maximum speed feels? I don't want the LAN to be the bottleneck, so 10 Gb it is.
