Oh gosh darn it 😐 Wanted to change the admin password. Opened the webui (LuCI), changed the system admin password, logged out...can't log in anymore. Neither with the old nor the new one I can get in anymore 🙈 #OpenWRT #Router #Password #LuCI #Security #Credentials #Password #PasswordFail

i want to try doing #OpenWRT #extroot kind of thing but with #nfs . since my #router doesn't have usb slot and its flash is 8mb. I am thinking about putting NFS mounting after core services are up and network is somewhat operational to not have cascading network failures stemming from vps being down or chiken and egg problem with local nfs share not being able to connect to it. like i currently want it for running #tailscale subnet router directly on router instead of running it on another device with static route on the router. also i kinda want to try running actual #mulvadvpn cli client instead of wireguard profies to be able to use #DAITA and anti censorship features. tho i am not sure how mulvads #nftables rules would interact with openwrt firewall which uses nftables under the hood.

Odnaleziono backdoor w routerach Tenda W oprogramowaniu popularnego – również w naszym kraju – chińskiego producenta sprzętu sieciowego Tenda, odkryto ukrytą funkcjonalność. Pozwala ona na dostęp do interfejsu zarządzania WWW na prawach administratora urządzenia przy pomocy zapisanego na stałe hasła. TLDR: Czyli mamy do czynienia z klasyczną tylną furtką, zwaną powszechnie backdoorem. i hate that opnsense comes with multiple options for dhcp and dns by default so everytime i have to change something im just left there guessing which one is actually being used and it doesnt help that opnsense ui is slow af #opnsense #networking #router #dhcp #dns

Why would these thermal pads be... wet this does not seem right. is this a breakdown mode of some thermal pads? Or is it something else entirely, or even by design? (This device powers up and behaves normally until it doesn't, at which point it flashes its one LED continuously. It feels like overheating, but since it just disappears offline, it's hard to tell.) #tech #repair #diy #asus #wifi #router

Vor 13 (!) Jahren habe ich mir eine FRITZ!Box 7490 gekauft. Heute wurde sie auf ein neues Betriebssystem aktualisiert. Von einem derart kundenfreundlichen Verhalten kann sich so manch anderer Hersteller von technischen Geräten gerne mal eine Scheibe abschneiden. #Router #Internet #DSL #FritzBox
