If so what have you learned you'd like to transmit to newcomers?
To me it feels like re-learning networking on completely different bases. It almost feels like the opposite of TCP/IP based networks somehow...

I've long been fascinated by the #mesh network #reticulum & the #LXMF messaging protocol built atop it—especially for areas w/o reliable Internet, or where govt. blackouts occur. 📡 I successfully carried out my first #mesh experiment - communicating with my friend @stereo@freiburg.social in Germany... some 400km away!!! It only took 6 hops - including the iconic Jungfraujoch radio relay station
🍀 I found my second 4-leaf clover in a field near a bike track - when I took my little one biking
🐑 on our way home we stumbled upon a flock of sheep - it was fascinating to see a couple of adorable Border Collies in action herding them

Oh what a day!
Earlier today I managed to communicate via mesh networks with my friend @stereo@freiburg.social in Germany... some 400+ km away.
It only took 6 hops... the third one in the chain was the iconic Jungfraujoch radio relay station (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungfraujoch_radio_relay_station)
So exciting!
I can't thank Ralf enough for his help with this... I would have been completely lost without his guidance.
