The #Meshtastic / #MeshCore rivalry is pure nonsense, just like saying that hammers are better than screwdrivers. MT is awesome for adhoc mobile groups and discovering nodes when I'm out and about; MC is perfect for large scale, stationary community meshes.
It's never been an either/or thing. This is your tribal brain talking. Free yourself from it and enjoy.

What's EXTREMELY exciting about 2.4GHz LoRa is the possibility of building long links with much higher bandwidth without having to make the jump to WiFi / Arden or Wifi Halow. Each of which would have a pretty huge step up in power, complexity or licensing.
This now means long #meshcore backhaul links like those between high mountains in the PNW could likely add 2.4GHz and get upto 100x the total bandwidth!

We recently converted some of our infra-nodes to #meshcore , and now we have connected two (minor) cities in Sweden.
Message delivery is more consistent compared to meshtastic on our case.
The network is growing quite fast here in Sweden, and hopefully we will be able to connect with southern part later this year.

@fasnix@fe.disroot.org Problem ist dass solche Technik nur dort geht wo der #Staat diese nicht aktiv bekämpft, weil sonst brauchts nur Schlägertrupps wie Basjij oder Armee mit nem #RTLSDR welche dann Geräte suchen um diese zu stehlen und die Besitzer zu knasten.
Wenns so einfach wäre, würden Medien wie #RimjinGang kein #SneakerNet betreiben, bzw. gäb' es nicht #Toosheh…Denn Lösungen wie #Meshtastic / #MeshCore / #Freifunk … haben 0 Maßnahmen gegen "Elektronische Kampfführung"
