I just a new step of self care. I've been subscribed to the digital version of my city's newspaper. This news site uses patterns of changing the articles many times a day. And if you don't see them then, you have no idea the article happened. As such, I have found myself on the site on the order of 20 times a day or more, just so I can stay informed. In addition, a lot of the articles they post are irrelevant to me or cause me distress. This is not healthy, so I cancelled the subscription. I'll just have to be aware of important local news in some other fashion. #SelfCare #Engagement #Newspaper

Harry Windsor, Doreen Lawrence and other claimants could face £50m legal bill after losing his case. Somewhere in this country a baby was born this morning to parents without papers. And that baby is an American. For folks outside of Portland, y’all should know that we have this great newspaper called Street Roots. https://www.streetroots.org It’s run by folks experiencing houselessness. But that’s not a gimmick. They do excellent work. Great reporting with engaging stories. I always buy the papers from folks who are selling them on the streets. I've just discovered that today is the last day that The Age newspaper will be printed and available for sale in Tasmania. That's a pity, I remember being able to pick up The Age while travelling in Tassie. I still get the print editions of the weekend Age delivered in Melbourne, as an add-on to my digital subscription.
