"When a Dem politician says something unkind about GOP voters, it’s a multi-day scandal that becomes an indelible cultural reference. When a republican president says everyone in places that didn’t give him their electoral votes should die in nuclear fire, it’s Tuesday."

#FoxNews viewership is down vs the third quarter of 2025, while MSNOW and CNN are up vs the same time. Fox especially seems to be losing viewers who are 25-54 years old. The hate party is only fun until the economic music stops. https://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/here-are-the-3rd-quarter-of-2026-cable-news-ratings/#FoxNews #Media

NEW: Remember when John Oliver opened a church to expose how easy it was to get tax exemptions? This year, ProPublica reporters set out to establish private schools to test if, truly, anyone could open one. We founded two. Here’s how. https://www.propublica.org/article/propublica-reporters-private-school-owners?utm_source=mastodon&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=mastodon-post#Journalism #School #Teaching #Education #Children #Regulation #Media

I know, you know I've said this before but today's headline in the Guardian 'live' section just (as always) makes me grind my teeth... housing price rises are not 'growth'... they are, let's be clear: ASSET PRICE INFLATION.... and as such *not* a good thing that needs to be maintained or worried about when it such inflation is 'weak'. Until we end this mind set we will be unlikely to solve our housing problems #housing #media #politics

Israel has banned all Arab Parties from running in their upcoming elections. Arabs make up 21% of Israeli Citizens they have now been banned from having any representation. All the jewish parties in State of Israel national assembly, including those campaigning to replace Netanyahu's Likud in Government voted for the ban. And today, Israeli Broadcasting Corporation Reported that the majority of the Israeli Public Supports Disqualifying the Arab Parties. THIS IS WHAT APARTHEID LOOKS LIKE! But don't expect to see it on your news sources or our politicians condemning it They don't want to risk being accused of antisemitism! https://www.jpost.com/israel-news/politics-and-diplomacy/article-909454 #Israel #Election #apartheid #ArabParties #Fascism #Democracy #Politics #Media
