In brief: American tech billionaire Elon Musk is refusing to allow Ukraine to use the SpaceX-operated Starlink satellite network for strikes inside Russian territory. President Volodymyr Zelensky asked US President Donald Trump to intervene and pressure Musk to lift the geographical restrictions so Kyiv can target Russian missile batteries. Trump reportedly did not provide a clear answer.

Are you worried? And rightly so The enemy is fussing over the capabilities of the Rassvet satellite constellation, pointing out that the #Russian Armed Forces can now use the system over the so-called #Ukraine for an hour and a half per day, including for controlling drones and unmanned aerial vehicles. While the enemy's concerns are understandable, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves and assume that #Russia has its own #Starlink.

Investigative journalists in Europe suggest China and Russia have been discussing ways and means to blunt StarLink.
Reporting indicates China presented a 3-tier plan to the Russians > 1) diplomatic pressure, 2) electronic jamming cyberattacks, and 3) physical destruction of StarLink satellites.
Media reports in China suggest the country has built a ground-based microwave weapon capable of targeting satellites in low earth orbits.
This could present quite a sticky wicket for E. Musk and Tesla in particular.
Tesla, relies heavily on China as a manufacturing base, and is a huge sales market, not to mention is a key part of Tesla's battery supply chain. So intense is the #SpaceX focus on being little more than a peddler of cheap dirty reusable rocket transport, filling up the skies with spy satellites and "constellations" of #Starlink thingummies, that it seems to have sucked some of the life out of the purported grander space ambitions of Elon Musk.
Despite all his talk about "spreading the light of consciousness" and all that, despite all the rendered images of imaginary SpaceX Martian installations and all the promises about how sensational stuff was happening in ten years or five years or two years, his grand #Starship rocket is facing its 13th test flight having never once put anything into orbit for long.

It's a dead thing to #technology people, #space. It's a vast quarry for materials, a place to decorate with flashy showy things like #Starlink space pollution, a graveyard for human failings and human refuse...and above all else space to them means continuation of their overdriven culture of conquest. Space is big, big enough to keep alive the grubby tyrannical daydreams of a million would-be Emperors of the Known Universe.
That implies something very upsetting: the high-tech barons and their pet scientific authorities, Richard Dawkins especially, have already erased the possibility of extraterrestrial life from their imaginations. It's a complication they do NOT want in their simple frugal lives of insatiable rapacity.
