Hi all, Does anyone have any critical questions/statements about AI to a company? My library is holding a town hall about getting AI and I would like to hammer them, but, y'know. Professionally. They might consider it more strongly if it's not full of bile. I've already sent several letters to the union about it. The most recent of which is that I want this to reflect in no part on our compensation. If the library wants us to use it, it will be wholly on their dime. Wanna know how my day is going? I'm editing Registry Files.

We got a 3D printer at work, (long story) and it needed software. I had the old version, but when I updated, I had both. After rigamarole with IT, I got it down to one, but it still wouldn't open ufp files. So I looked up the problem and saw that the resistry is probably wrong. I went in and edited it and now it (finally) works right.

Just finished SteamWorld Quest: The Hand of Gilgamech. Very good game. Took < 35 hours, by far the longest SteamWorld game for me so far. Different, even for a series that thrives on difference. While the six games share the same overarching storyline, there are only two sequels. I've played Dig 2, and it builds on Dig 1, but more in a basic concept way. Everything is more, for lack of a better her, fleshed out, they're robots, and feels like a very different clanker.

I'll go on more about it later, but I'm sleepy now.

I do feel I'll wait on re-beating Dig 1 and playing Heist 2 for the first time for a while. Two months is far more than I usually give for an interest and its wearing on me. I'll come back with fresh feelings.

If you have little to no money, you can absolutely find someone on dA that will draw you something pretty damn good in your price range. (I'm not saying you should underpay artists, (I personally tend to give a 50-100% tip whenever I commission something,) but that there are affordable human options out there.)

Sell it to a twit rather than go off the deep end himself. Though I'd personally be more worried about Automatic making their services federate and then forcing compliance to their standard from everyone else as Tumblr and WordPress have a gajillion users which gives a lot of weight. Overall though, whatever happens it feels like something we'll be able to see further down the line than the great tumblr porn ban or Twitter's sale and make plans accordingly.
