Looks like I will need to drain the rest, since the surgery got delayed because they discovered my service dog Minion is anemic. Figuring out why might cost an additional two thousand five hundred dollars on top of the eleven thousand that the surgery was predicted to cost.

It's now pretty well confirmed that Minion will need surgery. The vet was not able to tell me how much it will cost; I need to set up a consult with the surgeon. It will likely be a few thousand dollars at least.

Please, he's the dog who saved my life, help me give him his leg back.

My service dog Minion has picked up a limp, and the vet prescribed anti-inflammatories and a week of rest. It has helped but not fixed the problem. We're coming up on the end of the week and they're going to call and I'm not gonna be able to say he's better, so the next steps will need to happen and they're probably going to be pretty expensive. We're going to need to take X-rays, and if those see something wrong there might need to be surgery. I need to stock up some cash so I can take care of him properly.

@JoscelynTransient @ada I've seen trans lefties start to get really defensive around the concept of a Red Brown alliance, including trying to pretend it's never happened and definitionally cannot happen, despite the fact that, historically speaking, it happened earlier than the Red Yellow alliance that won the war.

This denial I interpret as a kind of antibody response to facing an uncomfortable reality--that the Left is not inherently safer for trans people, but that right now, it *seems* safer. And this denial response growing stronger, to me, suggests that the danger is growing closer. More than a few cis leftists have started down some dark fucking paths these past few months.

I find that, from the standpoint of rhetorical tactics, if someone calls me an "elite", the best thing to do is just immediately agree with them that I am better than them, and ask why they think their opinion should even be considered.

Having seen early indicators of increased cognitive dissonance displays among transsexual leftists, I am now more convinced than ever that an upcoming Red-Brown alliance is somewhere in the cards for our compounding nightmare.
