What unholy thing is an "AppImage"? WTF? I thought the #linux world learned it's lesson with "flatpacks" and "snap" garbage, but I guess some are giving it the ol' college try again. If you want a standalone application, make a container or a statically linked binary. (#rustlang and #golang made that popular again) Or, like, create a Makefile like a normal person. Wtf Linux world.

Finally got all of the GPT and MBR code put together, most of the bugs fixed, and released it as a downloadable Linux binary. Does a pretty good job of reading the data and giving out way too much information regarding the MBR and/or GUID partition table. Ok, introduction post. Im Tomas, dev from Slovakia. Been running my own stuff at home for years, and building a task tracker in the evenings since 2019 that i finally put on github this week. Mostly Go and Angular, lately way too much time spent on getting AI agents to actually finish a ticket instead of half of one. #introduction #selfhosted #golang

pcfg-go v0.5.3 has been released. This release focuses heavily on pcfg_guesser performance and memory efficiency: • half the memory usage of v0.5.2 • 2x faster than v0.5.2 • 2,578% faster than the original Python3 pcfg_guesser.py Twice the speed with half the memory usage? Nice. https://forum.hashpwn.net/post/14910 #pcfg #wordlist #generator #hashcracking #golang #hashpwn

R a p i d 7 is continuing their mass eshittification campaign by retiring #AttackerKB in mid-August. This small, MIT-licensed #golang utility — https://git.sr.ht/~hrbrmstr/attackerkb-archive — will let contributors download their analyses into a jsonlines/ndjson file so you can preserve your contributions to a massively failing corporation.

The Go "context deadline exceeded" bug when fuzzing with fuzztime is SUPER frustrating and breaks workflows. Anyone know someone that can move the existing fix CL along?
