WTF?! #Schufa #CloudAct #Datenschutz #AWS https://www.telepolis.de/article/Schufa-Daten-bei-Amazon-Was-passiert-mit-unseren-Infos-11320594.html

US Top News and Analysis | Snowflake soars 30% on earnings beat and plan to spend $6 billion on Amazon cloud AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Snowflake announced a $6 billion, five‑year commitment to Amazon Web Services, expanding its use of AWS’s custom Arm‑based Graviton CPUs and cloud‑based GPUs for artificial‑intelligence workloads. The deal, which does not include an equity investment, builds on earlier spending agreements that grew from $1.2 billion at the company’s 2020 IPO to $2.5 billion in 2023. In its fiscal first‑quarter results, Snowflake reported $1.39 billion in revenue—a 33 % year‑over‑year increase—and adjusted earnings of $0.39 per share, both surpassing analysts’ expectations, and projected Q2 product revenue of $1.415‑$1.420 billion with a 12.5 % operating margin. The company also disclosed the acquisition of AI startup Natoma. The partnership reflects a broader shift toward Arm‑based processors for AI‑intensive applications, as cloud providers and tech firms increasingly favor energy‑efficient CPUs alongside GPUs for next‑generation, agentic AI workloads. @tito_swineflu@sfba.social Yeah. And, I dunno about you, but I use multiple profiles to keep different browsing-contexts wholly separate from others. So… Fortunately, for the last year, the only time I use #Chrome is when I need to run #AWS's #FleetManager (it's basically unusable under #Firefox). So, only the one profile has the file, currently.

US Top News and Analysis | Big Tech earnings show how big, smart spending can be rewarded by the market AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Jim Cramer argues that the recent “data‑center‑spending bubble” narrative is misplaced, pointing to this quarter’s earnings from the “Magnificent Seven” tech giants—Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Meta, Nvidia and Tesla—to show that smart, targeted capex is paying off. Alphabet and Amazon saw strong post‑earnings rallies as Google Cloud and AWS accelerate, while Apple benefits from high‑margin services despite modest spend. In contrast, Microsoft’s stock slipped despite Azure growth, and Meta’s higher data‑center outlay looks unjustified given its lack of a cloud business. Cramer concludes that the companies that spend wisely on AI infrastructure are the winners, whereas those that over‑spend or under‑invest face shrinking valuations and uncertain futures. On 25 Feb 2026, the UAE announced the world's first sovereign financial cloud. The CEO: "Finance runs on digital infrastructure; hence it must be sovereign." Four days later, drones hit AWS ME-CENTRAL-1. Two AZs down simultaneously. 109 services disrupted. 37 still dark two months later. They understood the problem. The implementation gap killed them anyway. https://haunted.lighthouse.co.im/articles/finance-runs-on-digital-infrastructure/ #CloudSovereignty #DigitalSovereignty #AWS #CloudResilience #InfoSec #Infrastructure #DataSovereignty #FinTech

US Top News and Analysis | Amazon posted a blowout quarter. Why the Street says this is only the start of the stock's strong run AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Amazon.com reported a strong first‑quarter earnings beat, posting $181.52 billion in revenue—above the $177.3 billion forecast—and earnings of $2.78 per share versus the $1.64 consensus estimate. AWS accelerated 28% quarter‑over‑quarter, driven by AI‑related workload shifts and its Trainium chip, while the company lifted its second‑quarter revenue outlook to $194‑199 billion. Although the stock initially rose more than 4% before retracing, analysts were upbeat: Barclays raised its target to $330, Citi to $285, Morgan Stanley to $330, Bernstein to $315, BofA to $310, Mizuho to $325, and Canaccord to $330, citing AWS’s AI‑driven growth, a robust retail business, expanding margins, and a strong backlog that position Amazon as a leading AI and e‑commerce player. @_haha_oh_wow_@piefed.social @Deep@mander.xyz I switched to Firefox a few years ago. But, I still have to use Chrome when I want to use the #AWS #FleetManager to RDP into AWS-hosted #Windows systems. FleetManager in Firefox is complete garbage.

@brian_greenberg@infosec.exchange and the only correct reaction is to take #consequences. Any proper #App like #monoclesChat & #DeltaChat can control if, when, where and what #Notifications it spits out…Personally I don't trust #Signal cuz they not only fall under #CloudAct but also locked-in on #aws

US Top News and Analysis | Amazon custom chips get a boost from Meta, giving the cloud giant another path to win in AI AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Amazon’s shares jumped nearly 3 percent after Meta announced a multi‑year deal to run its AI workloads on Amazon Web Services’ Graviton CPUs, making Meta a top‑five Graviton customer and underscoring AWS’s growing role in AI infrastructure. The partnership highlights Amazon’s broader chip strategy—offering cost‑efficient Graviton processors for “always‑on” reasoning tasks and Trainium accelerators for AI model training—as a complement to Nvidia’s GPUs and a way for cloud customers like Meta to lower compute expenses. Jim Cramer praised the move, noting that Amazon’s chip revenue now exceeds $20 billion and is growing at triple‑digit rates, and he maintains a bullish outlook on both Amazon and Meta ahead of their upcoming earnings reports. I recently discovered ntfy.sh and it is brilliant in its simplicity. I am currently rewriting my bash scripts to drop AWS SNS in favor of it. Getting a direct push notification to my phone (and not only this) via a simple curl command is so much cleaner than setting up IAM roles and SNS topics. I still absolutely love email as a primary protocol, but my inbox really does not need to know every single time a cron job finishes successfully 😅 #SelfHosted #Bash #DevOps #Linux #ntfy #HomeLab #AWS #Fediverse #Linux
