I was getting out of my car yesterday about 6 miles from a recently active wildfire. AQI 150 with visibly poor air.
An older woman nearby indicated my mask. “That’s not a bad idea!”
We exchanged a few more sentences before she sat down on a bench and lit up a cigarette.
In her defense, the cigarette did have a filter. 🤷🏻♀️
