Wildflowers at Chinook Pass, Mount Rainier National Park I loved seeing this hillside covered in blue lupines, pink blooms, yellow flowers, and small white blossoms. The mix of color across the green meadow made the entire slope feel alive with summer. #WildflowerWednesday #PNWPhotography

Sunrise alpenglow on Mount Rainier reflected in Tipsoo Lake I arrived early yesterday morning, hoping for a clear view of Mount Rainier while the lake was still calm. I was not disappointed. Seeing the alpenglow on Mount Rainier reflected in the lake was absolutely beautiful. I felt peaceful, excited, and incredibly lucky to witness it. Mount Rainier under a sky full of stars I was hoping for a clear night, but a few clouds drifted through and made everything feel even more immense. Stars above, Rainier below… the whole night felt vast and peaceful in a way that’s hard to put into words. A quiet trail leading down to Shadow Lake. I was hiking the Wonderland Trail when I came across this view of the deep green water, surrounding evergreens, and a lone hiker near the shoreline. The whole scene felt calm and tucked away from the busier parts of Mount Rainier. What’s your favorite trail to hike? #MountRainier #PNWPhotography

I drove over to Palouse Falls in eastern Washington yesterday, about a 4-hour trip. It was my first time visiting the falls, and it really is an amazing state park. There is a fence on the canyon rim near the main viewing area, but you can also walk along parts of the canyon rim where there are only warning signs. When I walked over there, I made sure to stay about 10 feet back from the edge to get my shots. It is a beautiful place, but not worth taking risks. I loved seeing the waterfall drop into the deep canyon, with mist rising from the pool below. The green along the basalt walls really stood out against all that rugged rock. It felt very powerful, dramatic, and well worth the drive. #PNWPhotography #PalouseFallsStatePark #EasternWashington #SonyAlpha
