If you're in #Saanich / #VictoriaBC & able to give me some rides to/from hospital over next little while, I'd really appreciate that help. I don't have enough money to spend $50/day just for taxi transportation to/from hospital. I'm off work for all of September to be there for Mom.

If you want to understand more about how white privilege works, especially in Victoria, BC, Canada - try suggesting developing a data centre in middle of Oak Bay - the richest, the whitest, the most privileged population in this city.
I'll bet my life, Mom's life, both my brother's lives - it would not go through, after only one council meeting, because super rich elites would not want that in their backyards. They're OK having it in our lesser privileged backyards though.
That's the same municipality that refused to build or convert unused old buildings into more affordable housing. They're completely against any type of social housing or supportive housing for our most marginalized citizens too.

It was such a nice experience to be able to quickly and safely ride to a busy event using protected bike lanes and multi-use pathways. In early 2023, I took 2 cuttings from a rose plant at Jubilee Hospital gardens. I propagated the cuttings in our front yard. I grew them for my parents. Dad passed away before any of the cuttings propagated had matured enough to bloom. This year, it's blooming a lot. This is one of the roses from that propagation.
