probably 90% of my nextcloud file history is "you changed notes.org" and "you deleted #notes.org#" with a side of "you created #notes.org#"

Mostly for my own reference so I can find it later: Anna and my eBikes both have Bosch PowerTube 500 batteries ("approximately 500 Wh," my maths say 481 based on stuff WHICH may not be complete/accurate). Official charge time 4.5 hours which seems about right, actual AC draw mid-battery at 180 watts which doesn't add up at all so presumably it's drawing less/charging more slowly at the low and high ends of battery capacity. Regardless this maths to a minimum of three and a practical high of five full charges off one of the base solar batteries, no auxiliaries necessary, and more assuming we don't drain bike power to zero which we never do. If we can do pure DC charging this would improve further. #BikeTooter #eBikes #solar #notes

#introduction FoldNotes is a native markdown notes app for Mac and iOS, five years in the making. Every heading folds. Tasks live inside your notes — and a live kanban board tracks them across your whole collection. Plain .md files in iCloud, no lock-in, no plugins to configure. In public beta now, releasing soon. Built with AppKit and UIKit — no web views. #markdown #notes #pkm #macos #ios #indiedev #buildinpublic

BRAGGING: I can't figure out why so many people need Obsidian. Seems like I get to skip the entire productivity software industry just by descriptively naming my files. Takes 10 seconds. Saves hours of cleanup and confusion years down the road. I guess Obsidian exists for the people who don't do that? Example: Projectname-Homepage-HeroSection-July-4-2026-v3.0 Or is it the other features you love? #productivity #research #notes

For the 5th time this month, Google marks us red for alleged malware they cannot even name. Can someone please shut that automatic bullshit generator down, please? Btw, if you're looking for how to disable that circus component in your Android browsers, see here for instructions: https://gitlab.com/-/snippets/4909577#notes-on-how-to-disable-google-safebrowsing-in-browsers-on-android #Google #SafeBrowsing

You might have noticed a "Notes" or "Personal Note" feature on Mastodon and wondered what it's for? The idea is so you can keep private notes about an account which only you can see. For example you might want to note why you blocked an account, or perhaps you're collaborating with them on a project and want to make a note about that account's role. There's more info about Notes and questions answered in the guide at: ➡️ https://fedi.tips/what-are-notes-on-mastodon-what-does-click-to-add-note-mean-on-mastodon-profiles #FediTips #Mastodon #Notes

In all other news I'm looking at switching to #KleverNote over from #Joplin for Markdown-based #notes simply because it may be lighter on system resources. I am aware that Joplin is #Electron-based, and unfortunately, Electron-based apps are not the best when it comes to resource usage. At least, doing a quick RAM usage test between the two shows that KleverNote, in my test case, used almost half of the RAM Joplin used, but that was just looking at System Monitor's memory usage for the two. Maybe it's because I didn't have as many notes as compared to Joplin, but unless there's something huge going on, I doubt that KleverNote would use the same amount of memory Joplin does when it has the same notes. Anyways, we'll see how it works out! 😄
