30 years ago I could understand lining up at the bank to pay bills or services. Today, I just don't get it, why people my age or younger still do it. Maybe they need to be shown? I was using my phone to make purchases as early as 2012. #wtf #bank #banking #life #society #Illiterate #tech

Auf meine Frage, wieso eine Bank als Identitätsnachweis zusätzlich zum Lesen des e-Persos noch ein mit Ihrer App erstelltes Foto des Personalausweises fordert, erhalte ich Antwort, die für mich nach Sicherheits-Voodoo klingt. Ist hier jemensch mit Backgroundwissen? Gibt es tatsächlich Infos auf einem Foto, die nicht elektronisch ausgelesen werden können? Vanaf dan verandert iDeal in het Europese Wero. ING zegt de techniek achter Wero niet te kunnen doorvoeren in de Scanner, die noodzakelijk is om bij de bank te kunnen internetbankieren. Deze manier van betalen kan dan alleen met de app. Voor klanten van ING die via Wero willen blijven betalen zit er niets anders op dan dan overstappen op de app van de bank. @isotopp@infosec.exchange the problem is that such failures have no #consequences for those that fail to #safeguard said info. If a #bank gambles away customer's savings, they at least have to have insurance to cover at least the legal minimum in deposit per customer & bank account in their juristiction.Whereas with gross neglect in #InfoSec, they ain't even forced to reimburse all the damages and #costs incured, much less punitive #damages for gross neglect!
