In 1984 hieß Krieg Frieden. Heute heißt weniger Informationsfreiheit plötzlich Reform mit Mehrwert. Das ist genau die Art von Sprache, vor der Orwell gewarnt hat. Schöne Worte ändern keine harten Fakten. Wer Rechte einschränkt, darf das nicht als Fortschritt verkaufen.

Philipp Amthor kennt die Macht des IFG aus eigener Erfahrung. Erst IFG-Anfragen machten seine Lobbyarbeit für Augustus Intelligence öffentlich. Heute setzt er sich mit geradezu religiösem Eifer genau gegen dieses Gesetz ein. Orwell hätte das so benannt: Wer Informationen kontrolliert, schützt nicht die Wahrheit. Er schützt vor allem sich selbst.
