tis middle of winter [well, metaphorically at least, if possibly not perfectly arithmetically accurate], & Now UPDATED 11:50AM AEST 8.5° FEELS LIKE 3.3°C& i be sittin' here in a tee shirt, at #properpooter, in me study, hitherto the froziest room in da house in winter & hitherto i'd be buried under 2 minimum sometimes 3 jumpers, & various under-layers & i can't yet decide whether to let myself relax into enjoying this transformation per Time Zero yesterday or feel guilty about it all 🤔🤷 #dropbearelectrification #rcac #heatpumps #renewableenergy #climatecrisis

it is done, all is well, & i seem to have survived 💃🥳🎉 now, approaching 7pm, i am luxuriating in my new heating; space & water. It's all lovely! They were here 0700 - ~1500, having done much better than their original estimate [1700]. All the blokes were fabulous with me, entirely natural & completely unstaged... almost as if they did not know! 😮🤔🤷 I feel very happy atm... & tbh, a little bit proud of myself for finally doing this [10 years in the making, sigh]! all the equipment is, frankly, amazeballs. really impressive engineering. i feel so lucky to have been in a position to have [belatedly] done this, as i fully recognise so many cannot, & have challenges far greater than whingie little me. well, i seem unable to do so many normal life things, but by doing this, finally i can feel content that i'm pulling my weight a little, no longer burning gas & killing Gaia... & us 🥺 #dropbearelectrification #heating #heatpumps #climatecrisis

sitting here in sunroom at lappy, in jammies & gown, deferring da shower coz in da shower, gotta wash da hair [hate doing this!] coz then i gotta move some furniture & ornaments outta da way in my study, loungeroom, & garage, to make access space coz tomorrow morn, whilst da sparrows are still farting, there's gonna be a knock at the front door and i gotta open it and i gotta welcome in ~5 strangers whose conceptual arrival has been several years in the dreaming, & deferring, & abandoning, & reawakening, & dreaming, then finally a coupla months ago in self-defiance with new-found determination to finally Do It & so these five strangers gonna be here for a long day tomorrow somehow i have to endure this intense close-quarter peopling and hope they're kind & only laugh about me behind my back rather than to my face but if i get thru it all then... ...by tomorrow night my house will be warmed by RCAC not gas, & my water will be heated by heat-pump not gas and if that happens & works well then i'll be a happy dropbear but all that peopling so i be sitting here in sunroom at lappy, in jammies & gown, deferring da shower #depression #socialphobia #failedtransition #dropbearelectrification #rcac #heatpumps #climatecrisis #renewableenergy

all tuckered out now. three 'gentlemen callers' here in the last three weeks including just minutes ago. flutter flutter. need a bex & a good lie down now 😳 in coming weeks there'll be two intense long days with five or six g/c here 😱 but if all goes well, & the mighty prophet zarquon is kind, i'll then be 2/3 de-gassed [by appliance] & ~90+% de-gassed [by actual consumption] 🤞 #heatpumps #dropbearelectrification #climatecrisis #electrification
