So Rachel Reeves has confirmed the austerity mindset continues in Govt., by announcing that the increase of defence budgets warranted (to be fair) by the current situation in the Middle East & the continuing threat(s) for Russia, will be paid for by cuts elsewhere in the public sector... Ero a Dubai perché avevo deciso di concedermi un periodo di vacanza e potevo scegliere di partire in maniera istituzionale e poi ricollegarmi alla mia famiglia o partire con loro. Sarei potuto partire subito, ma sono rimasto nel bunker con gli altri italiani. "C'erano i miei figli, io ho fatto questa valutazione, gli Emirati non erano coinvolti, ma erano tra i pochi Paesi" dell'area a essere contrari all'attacco. Forse dovevo abbandonare là i miei figli e tornare in Italia, ma sono rimasto. Questa è la parte privata che mi dispiace dover rendere pubblica". Lo ha detto Guido Crosetto, ministro della Difesa, in audizione in Commissioni congiunte III Senato e III e IV Camera in merito alla situazione in Iran e nei Paesi del Golfo.
