I've had pinball leg mounted drink holders since early 2000s, although those were pretty crude DIYs back when consumer 3D printing wasn't a thing. My very first take was just a piece of steel bent into a shape on L with holes for the leg bolts and then a ring big enough for a soda bottle welded onto that.
As my collection grew, somewhere in early 2010s the Pingulp was released. Not that it was an unique idea even then, but it was a good product. I own around 30 of those. At that point I had migrated from energy drinks to coffee and got used to having my coffee mug there.
Over the years the product got revised, the version 2.0 no longer fit the mug perfectly and by the 3.0 it was useless to me.
I had made my own variant when learning OpenSCAD back in the days, but saw no point in 3D printing something that was cheap and readily available. Until now.
So here's my version resurrected and redone with #freecad. It's intended to be cheap, customizable via color painting in slicers and easy to print. After some prototypes I think I have a model that works in arcade use as well.

Ready for #fosdem : now Draftling supports ipv6. Also, I prepared a #forgejo server for the demo of synchronizing files. It will be fun watching what the visitors create.

Playing around with the Draft workbench in #FreeCAD. The Array tools are a lot more versatile than the Multi Transform in Part Design. Some of the other draft tools seem like they'd be really useful for macros. It would have saved me a fair amount of time if I'd realized that before I manually created and modified all these sweeps.

Well here's one for the "must you 3D print everything" category.
Our arcade's new toilet has this tiniest of the tiny sink. We've had the soap dispenser on it awkwardly behind the tap while I've been hoping to find some kind of a wall mountable solution. All I could find was those flimsy suction cup mounted ones that you'll find on the floor after a while.
I measured the the space between the wall and the sink and then made this. It fits there snugly and holds the soap bottle where it's actually easy to use from.

Today I share simple 3D-printable cable clips. They can help organizing cabling and prevent tangly messes.
This is more like an #OpenSCADFriday than a #FreeCADFriday this time, but you can combine them using the #OpenSCAD workbench in #FreeCAD.

Sigh, looks like the Snap version of #freecad is still broken on #Ubuntu
Earlier a KDE snap distro package broke it in a way it didn't even start any more. Now it starts but most work benches don't work and the UI is messed up.
Reverting the KDE framework package kf6-core24 back to revision 36 fixes it again.
I've just made a tiny video as I ran out of time to explain a thing to @robives@mastodon.social in @cccpresser@chaos.social brilliant @freecad@social.freecad.org workshop at #EMFcamp it's about the sketcher workbench and how external projections can sometimes cause "wire not closed" errors. Not Friday anymore, but my #FreeCADFriday was about getting some #QualityOfLife things together.
Got my rotating hanging bar up again after a small redesign of the bearing holders. Also designed and #3DPrinted an end stop for my nieces' hang bar since they're worried that it'll fall out of the bearing.
Haven't had my #PineTime on my arm for a few days since the strap broke. Printed a small loop in ASA and cut the zip flap off a discarded rain jacket to make myself a new one.
