#linux #mvt #amnestyinternational #securitylab #opensuse #smartphoneforensic #forensic #digitalforensic #commandline 🌀 https://docs.mvt.re/en/latest/ 🌀 https://antistalking.haecksen.org/einstiegsfragen/ex-partner

This was invented for #AI. However, I'm finding it really nice for screen readers: RTK rewrites output from chatty terminal commands that produce a lot of output, often in complex tables, in order to make the output 80 to 90 percent shorter. Just put rtk in front of the command you want to compress. So "rtk git status" instead of "git status". And you can be sure the compacted output is correct because it's just using regular expressions and deterministic rules under the hood to rewrite output from the tools it knows about. If it doesn't know about a particular command, it just passes the output on unchanged. github.com/rtk-ai/rtk Now I've got to figure out how to wire this up in #bash so it'll just happen without me typing rtk all the time. #a11y #screenreader #accessibility #commandline

I built a small CLI tool called pcurl. I use curl daily, but its output is hard to read: headers + body mixed, no structure. So I built something simple in rust 🦀: readable output ✨, no new syntax, works in the terminal 💻 It also supports WebSockets 🔌 https://github.com/TincoNomad/pretty-curl More context: https://open.substack.com/pub/tinconomad/p/i-built-pcurl-readable-curl-output?r=69jgco&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web #commandline #devtools #rust

I wanted to try and blog more regularly. But I got to a point where the "easy" blog ideas I had were exhausted. I was left with cool topics that required extensive research and writing. It just seemed "too hard" to get started on any of those topics. And so my blog has languished for many months. Recently I realized that I didn't have to unpack those "cool but difficult" topics to write something useful. So here's a quickie on some useful tips and tricks with the Linux "ls" command. https://righteousit.com/2026/03/06/linux-notes-ls-and-timestamps/ For my fellow bloggers the lesson here is that not every post has to be an earth-shattering revelation. You have something useful to say even (or perhaps especially) on topics you have already mastered. Get out there and get writing! #Linux #CommandLine

Among other things today, I threw together a quick command line tool for generating a human.json file. It's quick and dirty, but it's still better than writing json by hand. https://codeberg.org/axxuy/humans-generator #commandline #golang #humanjson
