Newly released Justice Department and House Oversight material shows Jeffrey Epstein arranged a 2013 marriage between his girlfriend, Dr. Karyna Shuliak, and one of his own assistants — a woman her lawyer describes as a victim — to secure a green card. https://twp.ai/4huJ2i #LGBTQ #Trans #TransRights #Pride #QueerJoy #TransMuslim #Visibility #QueerVoices #LGBTQIA #Resilience #HumanRights #Solidarity #MutualAid

Christian fitness influencers are opening men-only gyms to prevent infidelity. Jeff Hambrecht of Proverbs 27:17 Fitness in Oklahoma City says the gym is a top location for affairs; a second, in Denver, promises training "without having nakedness shoved in his face." #LGBTQ #Trans #TransRights #Pride #QueerJoy #Christians #Visibility #QueerVoices #LGBTQIA #Resilience #HumanRights #Solidarity #MutualAid

Somebody at the State Department put a map of Africa on screen at the global AIDS conference with every labeled country in the wrong goddamn place. Nigeria landlocked. Mozambique north of Uganda. Then, with that horseshit still glowing behind them, they defended gutting the programs keeping people on that continent alive. #LGBTQ #Trans #TransRights #Pride #QueerJoy #Visibility #QueerVoices #LGBTQIA #Resilience #HumanRights #Solidarity #MutualAid

— to correct the record on how well-liked he personally believes his own sorry ass to be. Then he fell asleep. Not metaphorically. Head-down, chin-to-chest, camera-caught, dead-to-the-world asleep, while another man stood at the same podium trying to finish burying his friend. #LGBTQ #Trans #TransRights #Pride #QueerJoy #TransMuslim #Visibility #QueerVoices #LGBTQIA #Resilience #HumanRights #Solidarity #MutualAid https://twp.ai/9OZdIN 2/2

He couldn't even let a dead man have his own goddamn funeral. Read that back once, slow, and feel your jaw do the thing. A president stood up to eulogize a senator he called an ally for twenty years and used it — the actual eulogy, the actual room, an actual grieving family in the front pew - #LGBTQ #Trans #TransRights #Pride #QueerJoy #TransMuslim #Visibility #QueerVoices #LGBTQIA #Resilience #HumanRights #Solidarity#MutualAid https://twp.ai/4huO6J 1/2

For the first time, our census will collect information about sex attributed at birth, gender, our sexual orientation & the gender of our partner, separately. All of us who have felt invisible or less entitled to exist than our cishet peers can finally feel seen. Quality data is the basis of good policy. This is good news. #census #LGBTQI+ #visibility #policy #governance #AusPol

When I was preparing for my #pole choreo (which includes me wearing skirts) there sometimes was a mom sharing the room with me and training by herself. She brought her son along. Today she told me that what he saw in training triggered a conversation in their family about clothes and gender. The son agrees that clothes are for everyone - and now he knows that his parents would support him if he ever wants to try out skirts or dresses. Even better: A boy in his class got harassed for wearing pink so he stepped in with: "Pink is for everyone. I even know a man who's wearing skirts and who does amazing tricks on the pole." #Visibility 🥰

"I am eager to burn / this threadbare mask." — Essex Hemphill, Ceremonies (1992) He wrote visibility as both the wound and the cure. Reading him on a morning that brought three trans people before the courts, the old doubled pulse — to be seen is to be a target, and still we refuse the mask. Grief does not cancel defiance. It fuels it. https://twp.ai/4hrwGg #EssexHemphill #Poetry #LGBTQ #Trans #Pride #Queer #QueerPoetry #Visibility #ElderTrans #LGBTQIA #Solidarity #Photography #Resist

Visibility still feels like the weak spot on PeerTube, so I built PeerSeek, my own search index, live at https://peerseek.video Results are ranked how I think they should be and there is still a lot of work to be done. Please try it out and give me some feedback, or let me know if it's useful in any way. #peertube #search #index #visibility #video #peerseek #fediverse
