The Afghan ambassador to Qatar, Suhail Shaheen, has said that diplomatic efforts to resolve issues with Pakistan have been made, but they have not yielded results. Shaheen made these remarks in an interview with an Indian news outlet. He stated that Pakistan has chosen war instead of diplomacy, and this approach has been responded to. Shaheen added that Pakistan wants Afghanistan to guarantee that there will be no incidents of insecurity anywhere in Pakistan, which he says is a difficult guarantee that no one can provide.
