Just tried to reboot my Pixel 6 into #Android 16, and…the #phone is stone-cold dead. Black screen, no response to buttons, power+volume doesn't work. This is not acceptable! When a PC operating system gets bricked, you can still boot into BIOS, enable booting from USB, and use a rescue/installer USB stick to repair or reinstall the OS. Can we please have #phones that are similarly fail-safe? Not this unreliable nonsense? Thanks. 😡

🚨 U.S. folks. There is one day left to comment on the FCC proposed rule to eradicate anonymity on all phone lines!

If they pass this rule government ID, physical address, and alternative phone number will be required for every new phone line. Anonymous phone lines and burner phones will cease to exist. That means no connected privacy via cellular at protests.

I'm just old enough to remember that my grandparents had rotary dial only service at their house outside of town, up to sometime in the 90's. I always wondered if their rural phone service had a stepper switch instead of ESS... #phones
