Das schlimmste Stadion bei der #WM2026 scheint mir Kansas City zu sein. Null Schatten (das Spiel Tunesien-Niederlande am 25.6. wird um 18:00 angepfiffen, und oft ist man ja eine ganze Weile vorher im Stadion) und null Anbindung mit ernstzunehmenden öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/39.05034/-94.48495

Does anyone have an opinion of #HereWeGo as a mobile #map app? I can't believe something owned by a car company would be any good at cycle routing, pedestrian pathing, or public transit. I've been using a combination of #MagicEarth / Magic Lane that comes natively on /e/ OS, #CoMaps, and NS or a couple other train apps. #maps #degoogle #navigation

@_jimnelson_@mastodon.social Many years ago, the Noe Valley Voice ran a piece on how the numbered streets in Noe used to have names, replaced with numbers in the 1800s if I recall correctly. For example, Navy Street was renamed 26th Street, which makes the fuss over Army's street renaming sound rather silly to me. Expect it to come up again now that Cesar Chavez has been disgraced in the public eye. #SanFrancisco #Map #Maps #StreetNames #History

I stumbled across maps from 1577 online, incl Cheshire, where I'm from. I went down an Elizabethan rabbit hole & bought a book about her advisor Cecil. Then, on Saturday, I went into a local charity shop, and there was map on the wall (in Bern!) And, reading more, I learned it was owned by Cecil! Kismet. #history #map
