We're home again now. 300 miles of cycling in a week probably doesn't seem like much to some people, but I'm pleased to be able to still do it in my 70s. Anyway, the good people of Roscoff put on a fine firework display to mark our achievement - although they said it was laid on to celebrate the end of European Heritage Weekend... 😉 #Photography #Cycling #Fireworks #France #Heritage

I went to see the #fireworks in #montreal tonight. We have a fireworks festival that goes all summer; 1-2 fireworks shows per week. They close the big bridge at the centre of town so people can watch from the bridge. Right after these pictures three girls walked up to me and yelled over the noise: "EXCUSE ME SIR DO YOU KNOW IF THE FIREWORKS HAVE STARTED YET?" Genius comedy, absolutely no notes.

• nice fireworks display last night * • today is my birthday (65) • hunting for antique toy trains on eBay • drinking good, hot coffee

  • They shoot the fireworks from the high school, which is across the golf course, a lake, and up a hill. So I have a fine view from my front lawn/driveway. Very convenient! Lots of folks come watch them from the golf course across the street. I've got plenty of free parking. 😉

Well, Dear Leader decreed that he shall give his speech at 11PM, and that afterwards, however late that might be, there shall then be a B1-B Lancer flyover with full afterburners followed by the launching of 850,000 fireworks shells just a couple miles from my home.
