I keep telling everyone: THEY WANT US DEAD. This isn't about saving money; that's just a rationalization. They've convinced themselves that #AI can do all the work, and as far as they're concerned, we can all die of #heatstroke.
Hannah #Arendt predicted, in the 1960s, the rise of a version of #fascism that wouldn't be content with targeting certain minorities. It would no longer rely on the labor of some supposed human master race. Instead, it would rely on automation, and its aim would be the extermination of everyone outside a tiny elite #oligarchy.
And here we are.

Trump’s Labor Department has done nothing to move forward with the Biden-era proposal.
