San Francisco next Thursday, all Bay Area freaks should be there, no Waymos allowed. Thursday, August 13, 2026 Street Eaters The Intima (on tour from Portland) Don't Ask Bric-a-Brac (178 Leland Avenue, SF) doors at 6pm, bands at 7pm, $10, all ages (flyer by me, would have been riso-printed if all of the machines at the community print shop hadn't broken) #Punk #PostPunk #SanFrancisco #BayArea

Tldr: im launching a choir, both IRL and *virtual*, plz help, boosts appreciated 🙏 Seeking choir nerds & a pianist 🎹🎶 Hey friends 🩷 Im a big ole music nerd 🤓 I wrote some choir music, and now Im starting the process of putting together a group of humans to perform it The vision: In-person group w accompanist, to perform live -- edit: located in/around Santa Cruz, California, USA* ☀️ And also Pandemic-style online-only group, to record remotely and produce videos for online release -- EDIT: aka "virtual choir" (im such a luddite sometimes lol) Right now its at the "put out feelers and see who is interested & available for what" stage If either of the above is something you'd like to participate in, please let me know! Drop a comment and i'll DM you If not, boosting goes a long way! Either way, thank you so much for reading this far, hope the rest of your day is gentle to you 🩷 Vid is of one of the songs I hope to do, as a taste of what is to come ⬇️ https://spectra.video/w/6ouwBv96JQykG7QYjjzQ9Q #choir #SantaCruz #BayArea #singer #ChoralSinging #community #art #artist #music #FediMusic #FediChoir #composer

Is there someone in the Bay Area who is interested in buying a Nikon CoolScan 8000ED with a Mac Mini set up to run NikonScan? (I access it though my modern Mac and can show you how.. much better than Vuescan.) I have a 35mm and medium format tray as well. I’m loathe to part with it but I’m downsizing and don’t have any free time to scan film anymore. $1500, got it straight from Frank Phillips. Hard to ship so prefer an SF pickup. Posting this here before I put it on photomarket / photrio / fredmiranda. #BelieveInfilm #Photography #SanFrancisco #BayArea

A KQED-ProPublica report revealed how a teacher was allowed to keep his credentials despite being fired for sexually harassing students. His current school district has replaced him as it investigates at least two new student complaints. https://www.propublica.org/article/redwood-city-teacher-sexual-harassment-investigation?utm_source=mastodon&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=mastodon-post #News #California #BayArea #Children #Students #School #Teachers #Education #Parenting
