These two photos were taken ten days apart. Different film stocks (Kodak Gold 200 and Ektar 100) but what is amazing to me is how much the trees have started to change colour. Getting ready to ship six rolls of film to Photo 60 for processing. They always do a nice job and they're crazy fast. My kid's uni roomie is taking a film photography course next semester and needed a camera, so gifting them a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with the kit lens (and *maybe* a 50/1.8), but it needed a field test before getting shipped out. Made my kid do the field test ("P is for Professional") and he got this look on his face like he might add a class. 😆 Which he shouldn't, I think he's carrying 17 credits already. #BelieveInFilm

Good morning to all analog photography enthusiasts! I’ve been experiencing a strange issue with bright overexposed areas appearing on some of my photos. The three images below were taken with a Zenit 12 XP and a Helios-44M-4 lens. The bright patch always appears in the same place, but only on some frames. Sometimes it is more noticeable, sometimes less. In these three examples, it is quite prominent on the left side. I don’t think it’s lens flare, because its position does not change. It’s probably not a shutter curtain issue either, since the effect is vertical while the Zenit’s shutter travels horizontally, and there is also a mirror in the light path. It also doesn’t seem to be a light leak from the back of the camera, as it does not extend beyond the frame boundaries on the film, and the seals are new and properly installed. So what could be causing this? Is it possible that the lens, when hit by light at a certain angle, consistently produces this effect in the same spot? #analog #analogphography #believeinfilm #analogfilm #35mm #filmphotografy #photography

I first passed by the Terrasstrapporna in Helsingborg when I first reached Sweden by bike on my way to Oslo. At the time, I didn't want to carry my bike up those stairs, so I just took a picture and rode away. Trip: On June 20, I took the Bronx River bike path to Valhalla, to the dam, and then took South County Trail back to Manhattan. On my way to Bronx River, I stumbled upon a bike race around Marcus Garvey Park. Well, I dressed like a racer, except for my camera and handlebar bag. Racers don't need those, which don't help with racing.
