Times of India | America’s biggest investor Michael Burry says: Plain and simple, AI stocks are an asset bubble as ... AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information. Michael Burry, the investor famed for forecasting the 2008 housing crash, has warned that the current surge in AI stocks mirrors the dot‑com bubble of the late 1990s and is likely an “asset bubble, plain and simple.” Citing a Business Insider report on Burry’s Substack post, he noted that 87 % of this year’s venture‑capital funding has gone to AI—far higher than the sub‑40 % share for internet firms in 1999—and that high‑yield debt tied to AI now stands at 38 %, comparable to the 40‑50 % levels seen during the dot‑com era. While cautioning investors, Burry disclosed purchases of Adobe, PayPal and Lululemon as part of a “mass whale fall” away from AI‑centric bets, arguing that many AI startups remain loss‑making and that the market’s enthusiasm is driven by speculative options and leverage rather than genuine enterprise value. He questioned the lasting utility of AI projects, pointing to studies showing limited practical outcomes and warning that demand could wane amid recessionary pressures, geopolitical risks, and consumer reluctance to pay for AI tools that are often available for free. His stark warning likened the market to “jumping the shark” and suggested a crash could be imminent, echoing the fate of the 1999 tech rally. @patcharcana@furry.engineer nothing but refusing.to integrate #Malware like "#DRM" beyond #Steam, "#ClientSideAnticheat" and using obsure & undocumented #Windows functions (like #Microsoft and #Adobe do all the time just to prevent people from installing and using #MicrosoftOffice or #Photoshop on #Linux!)

#didit #dut #unplugbigtech #Luminar #LuminarNeo

so, Leute!

As an Illustrator replacement Pixemator is DAMN close and I think enough for the casual user. The only export format missing that I MIGHT use is .eps (and native Illustrator .AI) I've not examined the SVG code it exports, so depending on how clean that code is, I'm just not sure yet. (Not that Illustrator is a good citizen here either). #CreatorStudio #apple #adobe

I downloaded all the updated versions of Apple’s Creative Suite ... errr “Creator Studio” to see if this 25 year user of Adobe CC could “get by”. Pixelmator is good enough for what I need from Photoshop and truthfully has been my toolbox since v1.0. Pages still rounds the sizes of things to 2 decimal places. I need finer control to 3 or 4 places like Indesign. There's a dozen other things I need in Indesign too, but that's one I always check. I love Pages. This is not a slight on the app. I use it a lot for simple projects, but in no way is it close enough to Indesign for me abandon it. 1/2 #apple #adobe #CreatorStudio

I suggest that you avoid purchasing any products or services from #Adobe. I base this on my recent experience with Adobe, buyng an upgrade — that fails to run on my computer. There is (apparently) no way for a customer to talk or correspond with a human being at Adobe. Because I have no record of any (impossible) correspondence with any Adobe human, Adobe and my credit card company both decline to issue a refund. REPEAT: I suggest that you avoid purchasing any products or services from Adobe.
