I hope that when John Roberts wakes up this morning in his small bed in his small locked room in the psychiatric facility where he's been referred for a mental health evaluation (see above), he remembers it's July 4th and really hopes he can get out today so he can celebrate with friends like usual, but then he remembers that actually these days he has few or no friends, especially since Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito went feral on him (also see above), and then when the orderly comes to let him out he asks whether the facility has managed to reach anyone to arrange his release to a private provider, and the orderly checks the chart and says that they've called Roberts' emergency contact, his wife, but that she hasn't answered the calls, which John knows probably is because she's still overseas with her pelvic health physiotherapist (id.), which means actually no one knows he's been locked up and no one is arranging for his release on this holiday weekend and he's going to spend America's 250th anniversary in a psychiatric facility, but on the bright side the orderly has gaily decorated his porridge this morning with some fun stripes of red and blue icing and a tiny paper flag (with only 25 stars and 11 stripes because it's small). #IHopeJohnRoberts #July4 #July4th #250th

He destroyed the economy. He surrendered to Iran. He bulldozed half the White House. He ruined the refecting pool and blamed imaginary vandals. He is rapidly deteriorating mentally and physically. He's in the Epstein files. And He cannot escape the crushing weight his own failures. And Just Think: NONE of this would be happening if Republicans had the balls to he hold Trump accountable after his Jan 6th insurrection. #Trump #TrumpAdministration #250th #EpsteinFiles #January6th

Good stuff happening in the #GardenState! Governor #MikieSherrill just signed the #JohnLewis #Voter Empowerment Act of #NewJersey into law this afternoon. Extremely necessary to protect the #vote and appropriately coinciding with the #250th #4thOfJuly celebration. #VotingRights #fucktrump #USpol

The tariffs of 10% imposed by Trump are illegal: the US Trade Court rejects the tariffs approved in February. Hours after an ultimatum was given to the European Union to honor the trade agreement signed in Scotland, Donald Trump received a clear rejection. Tariffs of 10% approved in February are illegal: the U.S. Trade Court has ruled so. According to the court, the generalized global tariffs imposed by the U.S. president do not find justification in the law to which he appealed. It is another blow from the judges to the White House, which is attempting to conduct a trade war without the explicit authorization of the Congress. The judges ruled by majority, with two votes in favor and one against the rejection: according to the judges, Trump had improperly invoked a commercial law dating back decades. Trump had announced the new tariffs after the previous series of punitive tariffs had already been overturned by the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, just before the court’s announcement, Trump gave the EU until July 4th to honor trade agreements. After that date, the “250th anniversary” of the U.S., the tariffs will “immediately” rise to much higher levels. In almost six hours of negotiations, the European trilogue, which brings together the Council, the Commission and the Eurochamber, was unable to reach an agreement, promising however an agreement “on May 19th.” Article I: Tariffs of 10% imposed by Trump are illegal: The U.S. Trade Court rejects the tariffs approved in February – from Il Fatto Quotidiano. #Trump #theUSTradeCourt #theEuropeanUnion #Scotland #DonaldTrump #theUSTradeCourt #theWhiteHouse #Congress #theSupremeCourt #250th #European #Council #Commission #Eurochamber #TheUSTradeCourt #IlFattoQuotidiano https://www.ilfattoquotidiano.it/2026/05/08/dazi-trump-illegali-corte-usa-notizie/8379236/
