In an ideal world a permanent warrant for searches at the border wouldn't be allowed to exist.
But this is a tricky situation in which you need to decide quickly, if you prefer months of work to restore device integrity or being detained for some time.

If you're a criminal, it's better to have a duress PIN. You are able to destroy evidence that is more incriminating than the erase action itself.
If you're not a criminal, it's better to have a duress PIN, because the law enforcement is not allowed to search your phone without a warrant and you protect your valuable private data.
Since being criminal (or not) is an invariant here, you should use a duress PIN.

Wenn man auf gefälschten Seiten landet, sollte man das eigene Verhalten überdenken. So "Verstand abschalten und los!" ist oft ein großes Problem.

Zudem werden die Passwörter stets irgendwann entschlüsselt, um sie zu gebrauchen. Egal bei welcher Anwendung.
Das Problem ist nur die Dauer, nicht die Klartextform.

@null_hypothesis @ahau@tribe.net @benlockwood You can arrange knowledge in slightly undeterministic way and it works. Small knowledge-bases that handle one special problem work ok-ish. I enjoy some software doing it. For example document tagging/classifying in Paperless-NGX or spam filtering.
LLM chats are bullshit though. The consumed data is bullshit and the output is random mix of bullshit. They do more harm than good.

LLMs will never be better than experts. This is why it's just enough to say that it's hard for humans to write efficient assembly code.

Of course C is almost always better than Assembly. Use Assembly when it's really needed.
C has got the best compilers. Your code can be totally shitty. It just needs to be correct and the compiler will do phantastic things, you've never imagined.

@HonkHase@chaos.social Das kommt alles davon, dass wir in Deutschland nicht in das Wissen und Kompetenz der Mitarbeiter investieren, sondern irgendwelchen Beratern das Geld in den Arsch blasen.
Jedes Mal wird ein US-Produkt gekauft mit externem Wissen. Es ist so scheiße, dass es keiner außer der Beraterhorde oder der Firma selbst bedienen kann.
Aber natürlich ist Open Source, das sowieso den Fokus auf Zugänglichkeit legt "zu komplex".
