Feeling quite under the weather today. Got to work and more or less immediately turned around to come home and rest.
Upside: finally *did* remember to snag that CRT that was left in the old building occupant's electronics lab. Found to be in good working order, even!
This wasn't really a prerequisite for enjoying some #Dreamcast games later this week, but it's hard to deny the joy it brings. For now, some #Playstation2 games until it's time to sleep some more.

Had an absolute *delight* of a time this evening playing #KingOfTheCastle with @synduckate@lgbtqia.space , @Fuujin2Raijin@mstdn.games , @Astarael@hive.institute , and some others that haven't yet joined us here on this find fedi network :-)
Hands down the best social game played across the web played in years. We've been rolling with laughter all evening.
100 % we're going to be organizing a bigger group to do this, maybe play it on stream. My cheeks are wet, crying from laughter.

@w8emv@mastodon.radio @loriemerson@post.lurk.org right now I'm trying to get my thoughts together, but I want to try and lab up an as-feature-complete-as-reasonable CO-to-subscriber equipment and signal path.
Some of the equipment for this is in hand already, but there are some esoterics to T1 signaling that I don't fully understand, and I want to understand it better before I pick up the remaining pieces I need.

I've got a bunch of varied gear, that I want to get hooked up and playing with, and do some test calls across deliberately disparate and mismatched platforms.
Hams have QSOs, I wonder if there's a similar term for 'phone' contacts -- especially given how much overlap there apparently is with the hams (a surprise to me; new knowledge as of this thread).

The Connections Museum's videos on this era of telephony have me real excited actually!
I've not messed around with PhreakNet yet, but the mix of equipment on it sounds really enticing. I don't think anybody was running gear anywhere near that vintage back when I was on Telephreak, and I don't have a good feel for the TandmX network yet.
