Others can be handled with mental healthcare, education, social reinforcememt, etc. As far as I'm concerned, as long as the immediate community is addressing issues in good faith and doing only what is necessary to deal with the problem person, that is still anarchism achieved. The issue with state force is the monopoly it holds, the massive and corrupt beurocratic structure around it, and the fact that it uses force whenever its convenient, rather than only when it is necessary.

The state and capitalism are the main instruments of systemic social abuse, due to how they concentrate power. Individuals and communities need to operate autonomously, without the abusive force and perverse incentives of capitalism or the state. We need decentralized power structures that are based locally, with the people directly affected, and around the actual consent of informed people. We need to stop allowing necessities like food and housing be treated as for-profit privileges. We need to reject the monetary and governmental systems that allow you to buy influence and deny basic human rights. These things work the way they do because people made it that way. We can remake it differently, and we need to.

They need to fear consequence and be deprived of social power to prevent them harming others as much as possible. And hate is the only thing that will make that happen. Hate exists for a reason. @Hex I've heard the term "voluntaryist" used, but I don't know where it came from, so I don't know if its associated with ancaps or any of that bullshit. There's definitely something important in what you said about framing our ideas around consent, and we should definitely talk about that more, since a lot of people seem to struggle with the basic concept of anything difficult getting done without profit or force. Its something I've been talking about lately, since every social structure is a micro or macrocosm of the others, we need to frame the evils of capitalism and government the same way we frame them interpersonally. Stop letting them hide behind bureaucracy and euphemisms. Instead of saying "funding for x program has been cut", say "these specific people have decided to stop feeding your kids at school". I don't think we should abandon the term anarchist, there's too much important history attached, as others have said. Plus its very recognizable as a symbol, which is useful. But we should definitely emphasize the consensual cooperation that is how we keep things running without coercive power structures, since people seem to struggle to even conceptualize that part. There is a legitimate concern from others in the comments about liberals and ancaps using "consent" as a permission slip to keep being terrible, but anyone who actually gives a shit about consent just needs a quick reassurance that no, you cannot "consent" to abuse or exploitation.

@Hex@kolektiva.social there is no justice, a psychopath will never understand what youre trying to communicate to them, no matter how you explain it. You could come up with the most poetic justice, put them through years of it, make them listen to the harm they've caused nonstop for the rest of their lives. They wouldn't really learn from it, and their only regret would be for the consequences, which they would still feel are unfair to them. Best to just guillotine them and be done with it.
