I know this is a little off topic but if Elon would truly was all about digits he would be less ideological and out of the spotlight only focusing on boring investments. I just wish he did things that were a little less divisive.

I completely understand the frustrations people have with the fact that rich people pay little to no taxes. However, a globalized market-driven world, which is inherently not a bad thing, allows for this to happen. A world where you can put your companies in tax havens and where you can work your money to optimize tax write offs, which exist for a reason

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social the trick is not to try and even out billionaires, they’re right when they say they can easily leave, this is the downside of globalization and free trade, the whole point of it is to allow for easier movement of capital and labor. Turns out that boosts the economy in multiple ways
The trick is to incentivize billionaires, whether through policy or other means to reinvest their wealth into their companies, preferably manifesting itself in more jobs and labor opportunities
