- We will be donating 50% of ticket sales to PAHU BARK as a tribute to Sam Neill. He was an enthusiastic animal lover and advocate for the protection of Aotearoa’s wilderness. We feel that he would really love this!
A film by Taika Waititi. Based on the book Wild Pork and Watercress by Barry Crump, Hunt for the Wilderpeople tells the story of Ricky (Julian Dennison), a defiant young city kid who finds himself on the run with his cantankerous foster uncle (Sam Neill) in the New Zealand bush. A national manhunt ensues, forcing the pair to put aside their differences and work together. PAHU BARK is a nonprofit based in Ferry Landing, New Zealand. Dedicated to helping dogs. The founder also trains her own pound rescues in conservation mahi. They organise weekly micro-donations to support various animal rescues across the country.
